Black polypropylene non-woven textile as mulch in organic farming

Black polypropylene textile was used in potatoes by organic agriculture and it had positive effect on soil temperature (in the depth of 100 mmJ. Slightly higher soil temperatures under black polypropylene mulch in the vegetation oeriod after planting had favourable influence on stands emergence. The water potential depth of250 and also ~vater content have been beneficial for black polypropylene mulch. Signihcantly IO'Ner values the water potentials have been found in the period after planting and at the ofvegetation. Black polyprooylene mulch provided favourable temperatures and soil moisture

Establishment and Development of So-called "Brownfields"

Import 01/09/2009V předložené práci je shrnuto několik poznatků, definic a pojmů o plochách, kterým se podle jejich vzniku a špatnému vlivu na životní prostředí říká brownfields. Tyto plochy se mohou využívat různými způsoby, ale jejich využití je úzce spjato i s určitými podmínkami. Mezi ně patří nejen vhodná legislativa, která by podporovala stavbu na těchto plochách, ale i činnosti spojené s jejich revitalizací. Jsou zde uvedeny příklady řešení této problematiky v České republice. Dále rizika spojená s brownfieldy a možnosti jejich řešení pro zmírnění dopadu lidské činnosti na životní prostředí.The submitted thesis summarizes knowledge, definitions and notions about areas, which are according to their origin and bad impact on living environment called „brownfields“. These areas can be used in different ways, but their utilization is closely connected to certain conditions. Among them remains not only appropriate legislation, which would support construction on these areas, but also activities connected with their revitalization. The thesis describes examples of solution of this kind of problems in the Czech Republic.
